Reading
Hello hello!
I'm super stoked to share that these past few months, I've actually gotten back into reading. It's nothing crazy! I will admit that the bulk of what I've read so far has been comics, but I'm still very proud of myself. I even set up a Goodreads and everything to keep track and organize my books :^D
I don't have any specific reading goals or anything. I really just want to do it for enjoyment, otherwise I might burn myself out or something! My favorite part has been trying new genres just to figure out what exactly I like because it has been quite a few years since I've delved into something that wasn't fanfiction OTL
So far I've discovered I really like thrillers and murder mysteries, particularly small town ones! I actually made a whole shelf on my Goodreads that's dedicated to these Life Is Strange-adjacent stories. There are some good ones on there!
But honestly, my real recommendations are in the comics department. DC's Absolute series has me in such a choke hold that I've been recommending it to all my friends. So far my favorites are Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Batman in that order. Still have to read Absolute Flash and Absolute Martian Manhunter, but I'm super looking forward to them.
I've also been loving The Adventure Zone Balance series. I fondly remember listening to that whole arc while I was in community college (oh god, am I old? Nooo way.). Honestly, I think it's the perfect time for a re-listen...after I finish reading the comic adaptations!!
And my final big recommendation is Witch Hat Atelier. This is such a beautiful series. If you enjoyed Dungeon Meshi, you'll love Witch Hat. And what's even more exciting? It's getting an anime!! It's gonna premier in April! I hope it blows up as much as Dungeon Meshi did because I want to see more fanart on my socials!!!
