Tiny Glade

Uh oh! I started writing this blog entry in March and somehow completely forgot about it!!! Oh well, better late than never I suppose :P

I'm playing another building gaaaaaame :3

This one is called Tiny Glade and I had been following it's development for quite some time. I grabbed it as soon as it came out and have been having a blast with it ever since!

You build little castles, cottages and ruins in a cute forested environment. The tools are super flexible and inventive...like I'm still discovering new things I can do to completely reshape what I'm building.

Another thing I really like about it is the art direction. The buildings have this polymer clay look to them. Like I'm looking at a real-world miniature or diorama. I really like watching crafters that make those (Like Studson Studio) so this aspect makes the game extra extra cozy.

There was an update somewhat recently that now allows you move around and copy+paste these previously randomly generated objects (Barrels, crates, benches and bird feeders to name a few) and that's only added to the fun and whimsy. It really breathes some life into the little town environments I like making!

Here are some of my builds: fall build pink castle town A witch academy A lakeside town

And here are some close-ups of the last build! Hopefully you can see what I mean by the polymer-clay look.

Tiny Glade has been the perfect game to play when I want to wind down. I don't even remember how I stumbled upon it but boy am I glad I did!

I'm also really glad I've been playing more of these sandbox design games. I've always had fun with interior design games like Happy Home Designer so me liking this is a no-brainer :P

I hope I can continue to come across fun, relaxing games like this!
